I found a list online of Open Source Video Editing software, and selected three to look up. The first one I chose because it was already on my computer. Windows Movie Maker seemed to be great if you only do a basic video edit.
Next, I selected to look up AviSynth which, judging by all I read about it beforehand, appeared to be very easy to use. I then watched a video on youtube which shows how it works, and felt like an idiot as they were typing in this C++ code and making it look as easy as they said it was, but I had no clue where to begin.
My last choice was the AVS Video Editor. This was my favorite that I looked at in terms of ease of use and it’s functionality. Like the Windows Movie Maker, it walks you through the process step by step, but it has many more features than the Movie Maker. The AVS Video Editor would be my choice of these three when editing a video for any project.
